CLARITY: When you combine a big 360 degree skyline, ‘out of this world’ rock formations with miles of wispy clouds streaming in from the ocean, you get the most incredible sunsets in all of Southern California.
Simi Valley sunsets come together in such spectacular fashion because of the unique geography of the area. To the east you have the very ‘alien-looking’ rock formations of Rocky Peak. Whiteface Mountain sits to the north. Gentle rolling hills unfold out west. And a steady flow of cirrus clouds flow from the Pacific ocean to the south. The valley itself serves as a cauldron holding everything in place.
Although some nights can be better than others, nearly every night in Simi the view facing southwest at dusk is simply breathtaking.
