CLARITY: For the past few weeks, Simi and Royal High School Seniors have participated in a city-wide ‘water gun’ assassination game known as Water Wars.
In case you’ve been wondering why teenage kids with squirt guns have been hiding out in your neighborhood and running around town…now you know.
Organized on Instagram, the kids were divided into teams with the objective to track down and hit their targets. Prizes are awarded to the teams scoring the most hits.
The game was expected to run for several weeks. Unfortunately a father, unaware of what was happening, confronted one of the female participants, who was in the process of squirting his daughter.
Reports of the altercation appeared on the Nextdoor App. Students familiar with the situation stated, the father grabbed the girl by her shoulders and confiscated her water gun.
Out of a concern for their safety, the students have suspended the game indefinitely.
