(CLAIR) – There are some things that always seem to go well together. Peanut butter and jelly. Salt and pepper. Spongebob & Patrick, just to name a few.
But now we’ve got another fascinating pair to add to our list.
Donuts and money!
On the surface, this all looks like a typical day inside of a typical bank. Customers are coming and going, the tellers are busy making deposits and transfers. There’s even a large TV screen in the background running ads for mortgages and car loans. But there is one thing that will make the next big Simi Valley banking center different from nearly all the others.
Simi Valley’s newest financial institution will have a donut shop inside! And not just any donut shop. A Dunkin Donuts, donut shop!
Technically a credit union, this banking/donut duo was first tried in the city of Camarillo.
Dunkin’ Donuts and CBC Federal Credit Union joined forces to deliver a unique customer experience, providing a full-service credit union branch and a totally independent Dunkin’ Donuts restaurant.
Ventura County is believed to be home to the first combo of this kind in the nation.
The Camarillo store manager says, “The Dunkin shop has been a huge hit with everyone visiting the credit union.”
The customers love getting a delicious treat to snack on while they conduct their business, and the tellers love having an easy and convenient way to satisfy their sweet tooth while on a break.
The spot chosen for the new Dunkin Donuts CBC Credit Union location will be inside the old Chase Bank located at 1377 E Los Angeles Ave in the Simi Valley Plaza, near Gold’s Gym and Vallarta Supermarket.
A spokesperson for the restaurant chain said, the Simi location will offer a wide range of coffees, espresso drinks, sandwiches and baked goods.
