(CLAIR) – The Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center Foundation just announced open auditions for its first annual Simi Stars talent event!
The audition deadline is Friday, August 26.
Simi Stars is a live community showcase representing the area’s most gifted singers, dancers and performers. The one-night event will highlight a variety of unique talents and performances on stage in the historic Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center building.
The new Simi Stars show is being hosted by Broadway superstar, Jacob Haren. Haren has a long list of theatrical credits to his name. He is well known for his Moonlight Youth Theatre’s performance of ‘Peter Pan’. He has appeared in numerous stage productions including ‘The King and I’, ‘Ragtime’, ‘Seussical the Musical’, ‘Beauty and the Beast’, ’42nd Street’, ‘Crazy for You’ and, most recently, as Frank Abagnale Jr. in ‘Catch Me If You Can’.
Auditions are open to residents of Simi Valley, Ventura County and the surrounding areas.
Show producer, Christi Ebenhoch encourages city residents to, “…dust off your dancing shoes, tune up your voice, and get ready to show the world what you’ve got!”
“We can’t wait to see all of the amazing talent,” she said.
The annual Simi Stars show is scheduled for September 24. A limited number of tickets will be available to attend the event.
