(CLAIR) – Simi Valley teens are in for an exciting treat as the Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District proudly unveils the brand new Berylwood Teen Center. This state-of-the-art facility is the perfect destination for young people looking to have fun, explore new interests, and connect with peers.
On Friday, January 20th, the community is invited to join in the celebration as the center officially opens its doors. From 5:30 to 8:30 pm, visitors can take tours of the center, enjoy delicious food from a food truck, and groove to the beats of a live DJ.
The Berylwood Teen Center is loaded with features to keep teens entertained and engaged. From a skate Plaza and basketball half-court, to gaming systems, retro arcade and snack bar, there’s something for everyone. The center even features a dedicated teen lounge where young people can hang out and relax with friends.
Regular hours for the center are from 6 to 10 pm on Fridays and 12pm to 4pm on Saturdays and Sundays. The center is open for memberships for youths in grade 5 through 10 for just $12 per month. And for a limited time, youths who register during the grand opening will receive a free membership for the remainder of January.
The center also offers a variety of programs and activities for youths ages 8 and up, such as Pokémon Battle Academy, Friday Night Magic, and movie-making classes with Snapology. With gaming tournaments, skateboarding competitions, movie nights, themed events, training sessions, workshops and specialized programming in the future, the Berylwood Teen Center is sure to be a hit with young people in Simi Valley.
