(CLAIR) – The Simi Valley Youth Council is asking, “Are you ready to show off your amazing vocal or musical skills?”
The Council is seeking talented individuals to perform in their fifth annual Talent Show. The event takes place on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center. Whether you love to sing, dance or have another hidden talent, this is your chance to shine.
Talent Show Chair Rikka Tignac says, “This is not just any talent show, it’s a platform for you to unleash your inner superstar and take your talents to the next level.” With a supportive audience and a big stage to perform on, this is the perfect opportunity to gain experience and make a name for yourself.
Get ready to compete against other talented individuals, as approximately 25 acts will be selected to perform in the show. Both solo and group acts are welcome to audition. And, as if any additional incentive was needed, cash prizes will be awarded to the winners.
Acts will be judged in specific categories by a qualified panel. The audience will also get to vote for the People’s Choice winner.
To audition, all you have to do is visit www.bit.ly/yctalent23, fill out an application and submit a video clip of your act. The deadline to audition is Tuesday, March 14, 2023.
The Talent Show serves as a fundraiser for the Youth Council’s community projects and events, including the anti-bullying and suicide prevention campaigns and the annual Simi Valley Youth Summit. Businesses and individuals interested in sponsoring the event can contact Kristin Tignac, Youth Council Coordinator, at (805) 583-6766.
