(CLAIR) – Simi Valley is gearing up for its 2023 State of the City Address. Hosted by Mayor Fred Thomas, the presentation will feature updates on the city’s progress over the past year, as well as plans for the future.
The event is set to take place on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center. Doors open at 11:00am for a welcome reception, with the program starting at 12:00 PM on the main stage.
The program is open to the public and is free to attend. However, pre-registration is required. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from Mayor Thomas, Simi Valley Unified School District Superintendent Hani Youssef, and Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District Director Ed Abele, among others.
Last year’s address focused on the city’s history and culture, its resilience during the pandemic, economic growth and development, and infrastructure improvements. Topics last year included the city’s commitment to diversity and inclusivity, and a push for expanding its parks and recreation offerings.
This year’s address, themed “A New Day,” promises to provide updates on progress that the city has made over the past year, and to look forward to the future. Attendees can expect to hear about the city’s plans for continued growth and development, as well as updates on key initiatives and programs.
Simi Valley has long been known as a great place to live, work, and raise a family. With its commitment to economic growth, community resilience, and inclusivity, the city is poised for even greater success in the years to come.
The 2023 State of the City Address is an opportunity for residents and community members to come together, celebrate the city’s achievements, and consider how we will continue working towards a bright and prosperous future.
