Add Your Name to the List. Sign the Petition To Voice Your Support For a New Pickleball Complex at Town Center Mall
(CLAIR) – In Simi Valley, a transformative idea is taking shape that promises to reenergize the Town Center Mall and reestablish the failed facility as a cornerstone of community activity. Residents of Simi have voiced initial support for an idea to construct a state-of-the-art indoor pickleball complex within the mall, a venture that could significantly uplift the local economy and enhance community engagement.
For years there have been plans to build apartment units, a couple of hotels and some outlet stores, but after almost a decade, nothing to benefit the residents has ever materialized. Given the current state of the mall, with its empty storefronts and dwindling foot traffic, a more interesting and creative approach should be studied and considered.
A comment posted by Carol S on social media said, “This is a fantastic idea… make that mall an entertainment/sports mecca. Wonderful for young people, athletes of all levels.”
Countless others have posted positive comments, suggesting the residents at least consider the pickleball complex as a viable alternative to what has been proposed so far.
The local sentiment reflects a broader need for revitalization—a need that an indoor pickleball complex could meet by transforming the area into a vibrant hub for sports and socializing. By signing the petition and voicing your support for this initiative, the Simi community can actively participate in reshaping our city’s future, turning the Town Center Mall into a bustling destination for residents and visitors alike.
This project is not just about sports; it’s about fostering social connections, promoting health and wellness, and boosting local businesses. The proposed pickleball complex will serve as a new community center, attracting visitors from across Southern California and encouraging local spending. Moreover, it positions Simi Valley as an innovative leader in community development, leveraging the growing popularity of pickleball to enhance the city’s appeal.
Supporting this petition means voting for a brighter, more active, and more connected Simi Valley. If you’re interested in exploring the possibility of building a massive indoor pickleball complex, sign the petition and let’s see where this goes.

Yes yes yes! 1000x yes! I was actually wanting to do this exact thing up at the SV Town Center! So many pickleball players! But it should also have merch, lessons, a rooftop bar with great food and stuff do do for the non-pickleball players like corn hole, bocci ball, etc. Family friendly! This town needs more things to do!! This would be perfect!
…we need to have this discussion. Everything you’ve described sound like fantastic ideas! Please share this with everyone.
The leading indoor pickleball franchisors are The Picklr out of Utah, and Pickleball Kingdom out of Arizona, and there are other East Coast-based entities, but a nearby provider would likely be best…
If not the Simi Town Center (impending ownership changes?) there are also a couple of brand-new industrial complexes that are good fits for such a venue, one at Tapo Canyon & Los Angeles Avenues (Bldg 1 or 2) and the new Easy Street Commercial complex that’s nearing completion this summer (Building 6)
These venues would benefit the local community and also provide additional tourism opportunities for global visitors to The Reagan Presidential Library & Museum as well….
Another possibility would be an “eatertainment facility” from Chicken ‘N Pickle, who have announced expansion plans. They are out of Kansas City, and have made it as far west as Arizona, and Simi Valley would be a good site selection for them, as well. They have partnership with the NPL, and one of their leaders/founders lives nearby in the west SFV…
Let’s put the demand together with the suppliers and make this vision a reality!!!

More space for indoor pickleball as the Simi Town Center Big Lots store is slated for closure…
