Clear Your Calendar, Simi Street Fair Takes Over May 3
(CLAIR | Simi Valley, CA) — Simi Valley is about to throw its biggest block party — and everyone’s invited.
Picture yourself walking down a sunlit street lined with colorful booths, the scent of kettle corn in the air, live music playing in the background, and kids laughing as they bounce through the Fun Zone. You stop to grab a cold drink, catch up with a neighbor, and maybe even find the perfect handmade gift for Mother’s Day — all in one afternoon.
On Saturday, May 3, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Simi Town Center Way will come alive with music, food, shopping, and a whole lot of hometown pride as the Simi Valley Street Fair returns for its spring celebration.
Hosted by the Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce, this free event draws more than 20,000 people each year and has grown into the largest community gathering in town. More than 350 vendors will line the street, offering everything from handmade gifts and home services to tasty treats and family-friendly activities.
“What began as the Simi Valley Trade Fair in 1977 to showcase local businesses has grown into the community’s largest event,” said Kathi Van Etten, President and CEO of the Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce. “Over the years, the Street Fair has outgrown multiple venues and has proudly called Simi Town Center Way home since 2018.”
In 2021, after the spring fair was canceled due to the pandemic, the Chamber doubled down by adding a second event each fall to support small businesses and help the local economy bounce back. Since then, the Street Fair has become more than a shopping day — it’s a full-on celebration of Simi Valley’s resilience, creativity, and community spirit.
“This year’s Street Fair is bigger and better than ever,” Van Etten said. “We’re introducing a Cornhole Tournament, expanding the Free Kids Fun Zone, and bringing in tons of giveaways and exciting interactive vendor booths. With something for everyone, it’s a true celebration of community, commerce, and connection.”
Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy live entertainment on the 5-Star Stage, sponsored by Logix Federal Credit Union, relax in the Beer and Wine Garden, or let the kids run wild in the expanded Fun Zone, sponsored by Adventist Health Simi Valley.
It’s also a chance to connect face-to-face with city representatives, local nonprofits, the Simi Valley Police Department, and Simi Valley Unified School District — all part of what makes this event feel like the heart of the community.
Whether you’re looking for the perfect Mother’s Day gift, hoping to discover new local businesses, or just out to enjoy a beautiful spring day with family and friends, the Simi Valley Street Fair is the place to be.
Mark your calendar for May 3 and come see why this one-day street fair has become a can’t-miss tradition.
