(CLAIR | Simi Valley, CA) — Even if you’ve never picked up a golf club, you can still help Simi Valley students.
The Simi Valley Education Foundation (SVEF) is gearing up for its annual Tee Up for Kidz Golf Tournament, a longtime local tradition that raises money for classrooms, teachers, and student scholarships throughout the Simi Valley Unified School District.
This year’s event is set for Monday, June 16, 2025, at Wood Ranch Golf Club—one of the area’s most scenic and well-known courses. But it’s not just about golf. It’s about bringing the community together to invest in the future of local education.
“Every dollar we raise goes right back into our schools,” said an SVEF representative. “We fund teacher grants, support STEAM projects, and give students the resources they need to explore, learn, and grow.”
The tournament is open to all skill levels, and spots are filling fast. Registration includes green fees, lunch, and access to prize drawings. There’s also a silent auction with items donated by local businesses, and all proceeds go toward school programs.
Not a golfer? No problem. The Foundation offers other ways to get involved:
- Sponsor the event—packages range from $300 to $10,000, with benefits like hole signs, program mentions, and foursome entries.
- Buy a tee sign—$100 gets your name or business logo on display at a tee box.
- Donate prizes or goodie bag items—a simple, direct way to contribute.
Whether you’re swinging a club or sponsoring a hole, your support directly benefits students and teachers in Simi Valley.
A Proven Track Record
Over the past few decades, the Simi Valley Education Foundation has given more than $2.5 million to local schools. That funding supports everything from classroom tech upgrades to art and music programs that otherwise might not be possible.
This tournament is one of the Foundation’s biggest fundraisers of the year—and one of the most fun. To sign up or learn more, visit www.svef.org, call 877-SIMI-KID, or email info@svef.org.
As SVEF puts it: Education is everyone’s business. And this is one way the entire community can come together to make a lasting difference.
