(CLAIR | Simi Valley, CA) — The Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce has been named one of 12 nominees for the 2025 Chamber of the Year award by the California Chamber of Commerce.
The nomination recognizes the Chamber’s efforts in business advocacy, economic development, and community engagement. The California Chamber of Commerce selects nominees based on a range of criteria, including organizational performance, public policy involvement, and member services.
Kathi Van Etten, President and CEO of the Simi Valley Chamber, said the nomination reflects the Chamber’s role in connecting local businesses and supporting the city’s broader economic goals.
“This nomination is a reflection of our city’s spirit, our members’ passion, and the power of collaboration,” Van Etten said in a statement.
In the past year, the Simi Valley Chamber has led efforts to support local businesses through educational workshops, networking events, and public policy outreach. The Chamber has also worked to preserve the city’s identity by promoting sites of local significance, including the Big Sky Movie Ranch, a historic filming location best known for Little House on the Prairie.
The Chamber is a repeat recipient of the California Chamber of Commerce’s President’s Circle Award, which honors local chambers that demonstrate excellence in business compliance education and advocacy.
The Chamber of the Year award highlights chambers that show measurable impact in their communities and effectively represent the interests of local businesses at the state level. Winners are expected to be announced later this year.
