(CLAIR | Simi Valley, CA) — “Come Experience New Services & Products” isn’t just a theme—it’s an invitation to explore what’s new in local wellness. The 2025 Wellness Expo, hosted by the Simi Valley Council On Aging, will be held Wednesday, May 21. This free event runs from 8 a.m. to noon at the Civic Center Plaza, 2929 Tapo Canyon Road.
Designed for residents aged 50 and better along with their families and caregivers, the Expo brings together more than 70 exhibitors offering a variety of services. Visitors can expect free health screenings, hands-on wellness demonstrations and expert presentations. Local healthcare professionals will offer screenings such as carotid artery, glucose, cholesterol, hearing, vision and more, all available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Interactive demonstrations will include drumming and sword exercise sessions. A special guest appearance by Lori Hart, the “Fairy Godmother of Health and Beauty,” promises uplifting energy and practical advice during her talk, Beauty Without Harm. She’ll also be available to connect with attendees throughout the morning.
Simi Valley is home to a young-at-heart community that remembers vinyl, VCRs and the first moon landing. These are the folks who grew up with backyard barbecues, family road trips and music that still gets people moving. The Wellness Expo is a great opportunity not only to access services and resources in a welcoming setting, but also to meet neighbors, share stories and keep that lifelong groove going.
“This event is a one-stop shop for essential health screenings, wellness resources and educational tools to help seniors stay active, informed and connected,” said Bill Oliver, Chair of the COA Executive Board. “It’s an important part of our mission to enhance the quality of life for Simi Valley’s senior community.”
The 2025 Wellness Expo is sponsored by Adventist Health Simi Valley, Everlight Care, Ivy Living and UCLA Health, with live coverage from 99.1 The Ranch.
