(CLAIR | Simi Valley, CA) — On Saturday, August 2, the Civic Center Plaza will echo with the unmistakable sounds of The Beatles as Ticket To Ride, a world-renowned tribute band, headlines the next installment of the city’s “Concerts at the Plaza” summer series. The show runs from 6:00 to 9:00 PM and is free to attend. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and enjoy the open-air setting at the Plaza Food Court, located just off Tapo Canyon Road near the 118 Freeway.
A Crowd-Pleasing Series So Far
The “Concerts at the Plaza” series has already drawn packed crowds during its first three weekends. Music fans, families, and longtime residents have turned out in large numbers to enjoy free live music, casual dining, and a relaxed community vibe. From Liverpool to Las Vegas—To Simi Valley
Ticket To Ride has been performing since 1999, earning a reputation as one of the most accurate and engaging Beatles tribute bands in the country. The group recreates the full Beatles experience, from the mop-top years of the early 1960s to the final rooftop sessions of 1970.
Their performances go beyond sound. Band members wear period-accurate suits, use original-style instruments, and even adopt Liverpool accents. They deliver playful stage banter reminiscent of the Fab Four and mix in crowd interactions to keep the energy high.
The setlist spans the Beatles catalog—hits like “She Loves You,” “Yesterday,” “Come Together,” and “Hey Jude” all make appearances. Ballads, rockers, and everything in between are presented in their original arrangements, just as Beatles fans remember them.
