(CLAIR | Simi Valley, CA) — Forget haunted houses — the real fright in Ventura County might be missing Dan “The Man” Rosen’s Halloween Bash at The Arena Nightclub.
Every October, when the season hits full swing, Simi Valley’s 21-and-over crowd swaps candy bowls for cocktails and hits the dance floor — in costume, of course — like it’s 1999.
For more than 20 years now, this has been the spot for Halloween diehards who want something a little louder than a pumpkin patch. The event, promoted by Rosen himself, has become a Halloween tradition for adults who like their spooky season with live music, good company, and a touch of chaos.

Rosen, a Simi Valley–based event promoter and real estate agent, proudly calls it “The Biggest and Most Fun Halloween Party in Simi Valley.” The official listing promises, “Come celebrate with the legendary promoter Dan ‘The Man’ Rosen and have an amazing time!”
And based on the crowd, he might be right. The bash is strictly 21 and over, with live bands, DJs, and a costume contest that awards prizes long after midnight.
This year’s party lands perfectly on Friday, October 31, 2025, again at The Arena Nightclub, located at 999 Enchanted Way, Simi Valley, CA 93065 – Showcasing the band, Decadent Decades and DJ Cheps.
The 2024 edition featured the Fleetwood Mac tribute band Twisted Gypsy and filled the venue wall to wall — think witches, pirates, and one guy in a taco suit that somehow won the night.
A local name with a loyal following
If you’ve spent any time in Simi Valley, you’ve probably heard of Dan “The Man” Rosen. By day he’s in real estate. By night — especially on Halloween — he’s a full-time ringmaster. Rosen has spent years turning The Arena into a home for local nightlife, hosting everything from New Year’s Eve blowouts to live-music nights.
He doesn’t use big sponsors or production crews. It’s homegrown — local people, local bands, and a lot of word of mouth. His social media pages are packed with costume photos, party videos, and plenty of “can’t wait for next year” comments.
Why it works
The setup is simple, and it hasn’t changed much: live music, a DJ between sets, and a packed dance floor. Some come for the music, others for the costume contest, but most just come because it’s the one night a year when Simi Valley collectively decides to let loose.
The Arena, known for its local band nights and line-dancing events, transforms into a full-blown Halloween party zone — flashing lights, fog machines, and a crowd that feels more like a family reunion than a nightclub.
The Halloween tradition continues
While the city has its share of family-friendly events like Boo Bash and neighborhood Trunk-or-Treats, Rosen’s Bash fills a different niche. It’s for the grown-ups — the ones who’ve spent all week helping their kids trick-or-treat and are ready for a night of their own.
As Rosen likes to put it, “It’s all about having fun in Simi Valley — one night, one party, one big family.”
So if you hear music echoing from the west side of town this Halloween, it’s probably not ghosts — just Simi Valley keeping the tradition alive.
