(CLAIR | Simi Valley, CA) — The City of Simi Valley is now accepting applications for its Community Projects Grant (CPG) Program, offering local nonprofit organizations an opportunity to secure funding for community-focused events and projects planned for 2026.
Funded through an agreement with Waste Management, the CPG Program supports eligible 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations whose work benefits Simi Valley residents. Each year, the City Council allocates up to $150,000 to help nonprofits deliver programs that enhance quality of life, strengthen neighborhoods, and meet local needs.
Organizations interested in applying must submit their applications by Jan., 30.
Applications will be reviewed during public meetings of the Community Projects Grant Review Committee in April and or May. Final funding decisions are made at the discretion of the City Council.
The city has a strong history of supporting a wide range of nonprofit efforts through the program. In May 2025, officials awarded grant funding to Body Brain Train, Boys & Girls Club of Moorpark & Simi Valley, Cancer Support Community Valley/Ventura/Santa Barbara, Free Clinic of Simi Valley, GiGi’s Playhouse Simi Valley, Many Mansions, Sarah’s House, Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, Simi Valley Library Foundation, and Samaritan Center. These grants supported programs spanning youth services, health care, housing assistance, education, and community outreach.
