(CLAIR | Simi Valley, CA) – The smell of fresh dough, bubbling cheese, and zesty tomato sauce has filled the air at The East Coast Pizza Company for 15 years. But on Sunday, February 2, 2025, it’s not just about the pizza—it’s about the people who made it all possible.
To thank the community, they’re giving away free slices, handing out big prizes, and celebrating a decade and a half of serving Simi Valley.
A Community Built One Slice at a Time
Fifteen years ago, Neil Felder couldn’t find a proper New York-style pizza anywhere in town. So, he decided to make it himself. He opened The East Coast Pizza Company with a simple goal—bring real East Coast flavor to the West Coast.
What started as a small shop in a shopping plaza has become a local institution. Families stopped in after Little League games. High schoolers made it their go-to hangout. Regulars became friends, and friends became family.
This weekend, Felder is giving some of that love right back!
Free Pizza and a Chance to Win Big
For two hours, from 2 PM to 4 PM, every guest who walks through the doors will get a free slice of cheese pizza—no gimmicks, no purchase necessary. Just good pizza for good people.
“It’s been 15 years, and we’re still here because of the people in this community,” Felder said. “This is our way of saying thanks.”
And for those who want more than a slice, there’s a special XL Cheese Pizza for $15 deal available during the celebration.
Then there are the prizes. Anyone who enters the anniversary giveaway in person or places a pickup or delivery order between 11 AM and 4 PM will have a shot at some major gifts:

- A Big Screen TV in time for the Big Game
- And other surprise gifts
Winners will be announced on Monday, February 4, 2025. (Sorry, Uber Eats and DoorDash orders don’t count for the giveaway.)
More Than Food
The East Coast Pizza Company isn’t just about good food. Felder and his team have become an important part of the Simi Valley community. Over the years, they’ve raised money for our schools, provided free meals for first responders, and made sure families facing tough times had something warm to eat during the holidays.
In 2022, he received an Honorary Service Award from the Simi Valley PTA/PTSA Council for his commitment to giving back.
“It’s more than just pizza,” Felder said. “This place feels like home because of the people who walk through our doors.”
