The Happy Face Music Festival, voted Simi Valley’s Favorite Festival by readers of The Acorn, will take over Rancho Santa Susana Community Park on Saturday, May 24, 2025. Hosted by the Rotary Club of Simi Sunrise, this one-day celebration brings together music, food, and family-friendly fun to kick off summer in the best way possible.
Inspired by Simi Valley’s famous landmark, Happy Face Hill, the festival is all about bright colors, feel-good music, and an atmosphere of happiness and joy. Just like the smile that greets visitors driving into town, HF25 welcomes families, music lovers, and anyone looking to dance, sing, and soak in the early summer sunshine.
This year’s lineup is still under wraps, but based on past festivals, attendees can expect high-energy tributes to some of the biggest names in ‘70s and ‘80s music. Previous years have featured tributes to Elton John, The Rolling Stones, ABBA, Tom Petty, and more. These performances bring the iconic sounds of rock and pop to life, with singalong hits and danceable beats that keep the crowd moving all day long.
The festival includes more than six hours of great music but there is so much more. It’s a full-day experience designed to entertain and engage the community. A Family Fun Zone will offer games, activities, and kid-friendly activities, ensuring even the youngest festivalgoers have a blast. The 21+ Party Zone gives adults a space to relax with cold beers, creative cocktails, and a lively atmosphere. Food vendors will serve up festival favorites like popcorn, pizza, cotton candy, and a variety of delicious options from local food trucks. Music fans are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and picnic setups to enjoy the day comfortably. Last year that had an area in the back set aside for popups.
Tickets are expected to be $25 for general admission and $125 for VIP Total Access, which includes premium seating and exclusive perks. In the past, children 12 and under get in free. A social media announcement indicates tickets will be available soon at the happyfacemusicfest.com website.
More than just a great time, the Happy Face Music Festival is also a major fundraiser. 100% of proceeds go to charity, supporting local scholarships, youth programs, food assistance, and international humanitarian projects.
