Golden Pancakes Make Saturday in Simi Valley Extra Sweet
(CLAIR | Simi Valley, CA) — Few things bring people together like a stack of hot pancakes. On Saturday, October 4, 2025, the griddles at the Simi Valley Senior Center will be sizzling as volunteers flip endless rounds of golden, fluffy pancakes for the annual Senior Pancake Breakfast.

Stacks of Flap-Jacks and Sweet, Sweet Syrup
From 8am to 11am, plates will be filled with steaming stacks, dripping with melted butter and warm syrup. For $8 a ticket, or two for $15, guests can enjoy all-you-can-eat pancakes, cooked fresh and served hot off the grill. Tickets will be sold at the door.
The event is hosted by the Noontime Rotary Club of Simi Valley and Adventist Health. Proceeds benefit Meals on Wheels, a program that delivers daily hot meals to seniors who can’t shop or cook for themselves.
Along with pancakes, guests can look forward to door prizes — making breakfast a little more exciting than usual.
“This isn’t just breakfast,” said one Rotary volunteer. “It’s warm food, warm company, and a way to make sure our seniors are cared for.”

Pancakes With Purpose
Meals on Wheels is more than food delivery. For many seniors, it’s their connection to the community. Rising costs have strained programs like this in recent years, so every forkful of pancakes helps keep the service going.
Right Next to Oktoberfest
The timing couldn’t be better. At 11am, just as the last pancakes are served, the Simi Valley Oktoberfest begins at Rancho Tapo Community Park (Lemon Park), 3700 Avenida Simi. The Senior Center and festival grounds share a parking lot, making it easy to slide from pancakes straight into festival fun.
For Oktoberfest volunteers, breakfast is the perfect fuel before a long shift. For festivalgoers, it’s a no-brainer — start with a hearty meal, then walk right over to the music, games, and celebration.
A Recipe for a Perfect Saturday
Golden pancakes in the morning. A major community festival in the afternoon. All on the same street, with one stop parking, and one big helping of community spirit.
On October 4, Simi Valley’s Saturday will start with stacks of syrup-soaked pancakes and end with thousands gathering for one of the city’s biggest events.
If you love pancakes — or just love supporting your neighbors — this is your day.
