(CLAIR) – The Simi Sunset Rotary Club announced the return of High Tea. The club’s 12th Annual Johnna’s Tea Party is scheduled to take place on April 23rd, 2023, at the Grand Vista Hotel in Simi Valley. This event is a must-attend for anyone who wants to indulge in a bit of elegance and class.
The tea party is not just any ordinary tea party however, it carries a meaningful story. The event is named after Johnna, a young woman who lost her battle with cancer in 2009. Her mother, Maryann Fiore Hopkins, created the High Tea Party in her daughter’s memory and to support the women’s cancer support group that had provided so much assistance to her family.
Since 2009, the Johnna’s Tea Party has been a local community event that has raised funds for the Marcelle Erian Cancer Foundation. This foundation provides counseling, medical supplies, family assistance, medications, and personal support to cancer patients who are not covered by traditional insurance plans. The funds raised at Johnna’s Tea Party will be used to support the foundation and other local charities within the community.
The event promises to be a grand affair, filled with delicious tea party treats, entertainment, and, of course, tea! Attendees are encouraged to come dressed in their fanciest clothes and hats to match the occasion. Johnna’s Tea Party offers a fantastic occasion to relish sophistication and refinement while aiding a worthy cause.
Another highlight of the event is the raffle. This year, the lucky winner of the raffle will receive a 7 Night Cruise around Italy, including airfare, valued at $6,500! There are only 200 raffle tickets available, so anyone interested is encouraged to get one soon before they sell out.
The high tea event has a limited number of tickets available and always fills up quickly.
