(CLAIR) – The Varenita anniversary month kicked off January 31, 2023 with an official Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Varenita is a state-of-the-art assisted living and memory care facility that has rapidly gained a reputation for delivering a modern and connected living experience for its residents.
The Varenita ribbon-cutting ceremony was delayed for a year due to Covid. Residents and City leaders were excited to finally celebrate the opening of this valuable community resource.
The ribbon-cutting was hosted by the Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce and was attended by Simi Valley’s newly elected Mayor, Fred Thomas, City Councilperson Elaine Litster, and Ventura County Supervisor Janice Parvin.
A delicious Italian luncheon was prepared by the facility chef and tours were offered to anyone who wanted to visit and have a look around.
Varenita is unique in its approach to assisted living. The facility has incorporated technology throughout the building to provide residents with a sense of community and connection. The spacious and open design of the building, with large windows and bright, natural sunlight in the common areas, creates a welcoming and comfortable environment.

The residents at Varenita are described as a thriving group, with an average age of 85. They enjoy socializing, participating in various activities and classes, and giving back to the community. The facility’s commitment to the happiness and well-being of both residents and staff has contributed to its rapid growth, even in the midst of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
Margie Veis, the General Manager and Executive Director of Varenita, expressed her excitement for what the future holds. She is committed to making every day the best day for residents, family members, and staff and ensuring the happiness of everyone at the facility.
This month will feature various small activities leading up to a big one-year anniversary party on February 28th, which will be open to the public.
With its continued growth, attention to detail, and commitment to the Simi Valley community, Varenita is setting the standard for assisted living and memory care facilities. They are definitely a facility to watch in the coming years.
