  1. This article is ridiculous. So what if you enter Costco one hour earlier or later. The entrance time has always been 10am and no one complained before. It’s no different now. It’s not like the earlier people are buying up all the good stuff. There is plenty for everyone. This is making a big deal out of nothing. And by the way, it’s not just Simi Valley, it’s all Costco stores worldwide. Don’t blame Simi Valley.

  2. I’ve been an Executive Member for years. Why? Because my family-sized purchases made sense in the long run with the year-end rebate. I could care less if everyone shops at 9am. Why create chaos and discourse among your members. Don’t we have enough discourse in this country right now, why do we need more. I already get the year-end perk, so who cares. I think they are looking for controversy. Ugh.

  3. On another note, it’s ridiculous the way the article spins things by stating that Costco is “separating the rich from the regular”. Again, I’ve been an Executive member for over 20 years and hardly consider myself rich. If you had all your info, you would realize that having an Executive membership makes sense for people with large or frequent purchases because of a family or business. The difference in membership fee is paid for by the year-end rebate.

  4. This article is 100% rage bait. Costco’s normal hours were always 10, so nobody is forced to “wait in the hot sun”. Non executive members aren’t losing anything they previously had. Also you don’t have to be rich to be an executive anymore. We live paycheck to paycheck, but since the cost of things has gone up so much, our executive check is still $120 every year, which just about covers the price of our membership.

  5. The writer needs to do some research. This is how it used to always be at Costco. It’s definitely not the “first time” lol
